LangOwl (the “App”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we process it, who we may share it with, and your rights.

How You Can Use the App

  • You can play as a guest (no account required).
  • You can play with an account. Creating an account typically requires only your email address.

Data We Collect

  • Account data: If you register, your email address (optional profile/nickname fields may exist).
  • Game & usage data: XP, level, accuracy, session results, stats, achievements (badges/certificates), leaderboard data, selected languages/directions, and in-app settings.
  • Device & technical data: app version, OS version, device model; crash logs and performance/diagnostic data.
  • Device/install identifiers: A device-related identifier (e.g., deviceId) may be used to keep guest progress.
  • Advertising (AdMob): Ad identifiers and ad interaction signals may be processed by Google AdMob/Google Play services for serving and measuring ads.

How We Use Data

  • Provide the service (sessions, progress, stats).
  • Compute leaderboards and rankings.
  • Store your settings (sound, timer, etc.).
  • Debugging, security, and performance improvements.
  • Serve and measure ads (AdMob).

Legal Bases

We may process data based on contract/performance of the service, our legitimate interests (security, debugging, improvement), and where required, your consent (e.g., platform-level ad personalization choices).

Sharing & Service Providers

We do not sell your data. Limited sharing may occur with service providers needed to operate the app:

  • Google AdMob: ad serving and measurement.
  • Analytics / crash reporting (if enabled): diagnostics and performance monitoring.

Data Retention

  • Game/progress data: while your account is active or until deletion is requested.
  • Guest data: while you continue using the app on the device or until you clear app data.
  • Technical logs: retained for reasonable periods as needed for debugging/security.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time. Once the feature is available, account-linked personal data (e.g., email) and progress records will be deleted or anonymized, except where retention is required by law.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your data. However, no online transmission is 100% secure.

Your Rights

Children

The app may be available to a general audience. Store rules and local laws apply for child-related cases.
